Installation Instructions wrote:
Tableau Desktop 8.3.3, fully functioning.

1. Install from dmg; start trial. Quit.

IMPORTANT: With Little Snitch, block licensing.tableausoftware.com port 443 forever.

It's ok to allow
www.tableausoftware.com
port 80 and all other connections.

2. It's not strictly necessary, but you should make yourself a security backup of your fresh trial license file (because it is hard to fully reset the trial): go to folder (root) Library > Preferences > FLEXnet Publisher > FLEXnet and create a zip file of "tableau_003e2900_tsf.data" (or similar). If the app should cripple your license file for whatever reason, then delete all files in this folder and restore the license from your zip file.

3. Right mouse click the Tableau app, Show Package Contents: in the Frameworks folder, replace binary "libtabui.dylib" with the file from archive "libtabui [k].dylib.zip".

4. Start the app, it should say "-1" days remaining now. Click Continue Trial. This is effectively permanent.

Do not update.
