Armageddon was the only album released by British/American hard rock group Armageddon in 1975. The albums' original liner notes use the term "supergroup". It features Keith Relf of Yardbirds & Renaissance fame, Martin Pugh, lead guitarist on Rod Stewart's "An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down" & with Steamhammer, US-American Bobby Caldwell who was the drummer of Captain Beyond & with Johnny Winter, & Louis Cennamo who was the bass player for Renaissance & Steamhammer. Armageddon sought to create a style unlike any other in rock. This debut album charted at number 151, but they were effectively scuttled when Relf died of accidental electrocution on May 14, 1976. One of the fiercest, prog-metal, space-rock masterpieces, & worthy of heavy rock hall of fame.
