Learn the skills and techniques required to become a confident Drone Pilot and Operator
The "Drone" revolution is here! Every day it seems, small Unmanned Systems are becoming the default tool for cinematographers to capture perspectives like never before. Drones, from quadcopters to octocopters, are here to stay. As the technology continues to improve, operators with a knowledge of these systems and experience flying them are increasingly in demand. While technology companies and industry leaders continue to make drones smarter and more capable, human operators with an artistic vision and the ability to execute these shots are the key to truly unleashing the potential of Drones, especially when it comes to Aerial Cinematography. The Aerial Cinematography Flight School is the perfect resource for new and improving Drone pilots and Cinematographers. Our goal here is simple; want to teach the world how to have fun, fly safe, and capture amazing content.
With the emergence and incredible popularity of Multi Rotor systems, creating aerial content is now easier than ever. Too often, however, new pilots face a difficult battle to hone their skills and to create compelling content, all while flying safely. Many focus on what equipment they should fly, instead of how they should be flying. This course contains short, concise video sections that outline the quickest path to becoming an airborne cinematographer. This includes an overview of the best available equipment, settings for popular camera systems, but more importantly step by step tutorials on how to actually pilot one of these systems. We've included a ton of easy to follow video sections with practice maneuvers that will improve your flight skills and increase the quality of the content produced by your onboard camera system.
Flying Drones to create stunning video takes practice and patience, but with some direction and knowledge you'll be ready to shoot cinematic content in no time. Regardless of your existing equipment or skill level, our course walks you through the ins and outs of flight maneuvers that will revolutionize your aerial cinematography and provide a clear pathway to improve your skills, making you more valuable as an operator.
We've structured this course to follow the natural progression of a beginning pilot. The first sections cover some of the necessary equipment, and then moves on to the basic mechanics of flight. From there, the advanced section walks you through thinking backwards from an onboard camera, and how your movements as an operator will directly affect your video output. Follow along at your own pace, rewatch as many times as you like, and grade yourself at the end of each section. Our self-paced course allows you to pace yourself as you see fit.
