Use information from Unit 3 to Transform figures on a coordinate plane
This course uses information from Unit 3 to transform shapes and figures on a coordinate plane. Matrix addition, Scalar Multiplication, and Matrix Multiplication are all used extensively in this unit to Translate, Dilate, Reflect, and Rotate 2-D figures.

The second half of the course focuses on determinants, identity matrices, and inverse matrices. Students will be able to find determinants of 2x2 and 3x3 matrices. They will also be able to identify inverse matrices using their knowledge of identity matrices. Additionally, they will learn how to find the inverse of a matrix using a specific process and their knowledge of 2nd order determinants.

There are 6 lessons in this course: Translation and Dilation Matrices, Reflection Matrices, Rotation Matrices, 2nd Order Determinants, 3rd Order Determinants and Area of Triangles, and Identity and Inverse Matrices.
